In honour of Earth Day I offer this link to part of a series of videos.

All the plastic, EVER MADE, is still here. It hasn't broken down, back into original elements, it's simple broken down itno smaller and smaller pieces, and is effecting our food chain at the microscopic level.

Three"kids" travel with researchers to the middle of the Pacific to document how all the plastic in the world eventually breaks down into tiny particulates.

After weeks of sailing, into the middle of the Pacific, some places they dredge the water and find way more plastics that plankton or any other life.

The urban myth was that there was a huge pile of garbage all whirlpooled up, the size of Texas, what they realize is that it would be way easier if that was the case!
Like a lot of environmental issues, there is no "money shot" that one image to scare the crap out of people.
