Rob Galbraith DPI: Apple announces Aperture software for pro photographers

At first glance the $599 price tag seems outrageous. But when you watch the demo's and understand this is a workflow solution from begining to finish in one incredible piece of software, it doesn't seem so bad. It's more a competitor to Capture One than Photoshop and in that sense the price is toe to toe with Capture One.

I await to see how well this runs on my G5 which is listed as the bare minimum in processing power. Maybe this will be the flimsey excuse to upgrade? :-)
