Apollo 11

With the 40th Anniversary of Apollo 11th's landing on the moon coming up this summer, of course I am once again reading all I can. I finally tackled the exhaustive biography of Neil Armstrong, First Man. It's chock full of detail and not that much insight on the man, as to be expected.

With the Anniversary coming up I noticed in Chapters a new crop of kids books about the lunar landings. The one that stood out for me, and I just HAD to buy was Moonshot by Brian Floca. Wonderfully detailed illustrations, and a great telling of the story this has to be one of the better kids books on Apollo I have seen. Perfectly aimed to 4-7 years.

And soon enough I will once again sit down and watch my Apollo 11 boxset. You can literally watch the entire time they spent on the lunar surface. Yeah I know it's a little obsessive, but I am child of the Space Age!
