For the last 4 or 5 years we've gone to Birds Hill for the Thanksgiving weekend in October. It's beautifully there that time of year with the leaves falling etc. And if the weather turns out to be horrible you're close enough to get home in a few minutes. Don't pack in the camper just yet.
