Obscure Hand-crafted Daguerrotype gear

Lest you think film in all it's flavours is gone, I offer a link to a guy in Ontario who makes handcrafted tools for use in the Dauerrotype process. The first widely used photographic process is still being pursed actively by all sorts of people. If technology has done one thing to these old processes, it's the sharing of info and techniques that's helped them continue.

Mike Robinson’s Century Darkroom in Toronto Canada has gained a reputation in several alternative photographic processes. Currently, Mike’s photography centers on the Daguerreotype. His work combines a classical sense of beauty with the high level of technical skill required for success in this difficult photographic medium. His unique contribution to the modern daguerreotype has gained increasing recognition, with his work housed in many US and Canadian collections. Mikes work can be seen at www.centurydarkroom.com
