Scratch

Finally got to see this 2002 film on the history of scratching and turntablism. If anything it hi-lighted Q-bert's infulence. Kev and I stood in line for awhile, last trip to San fran to meet the man and now that I know more about him I am even more impressed. Turns out just about everyone who started the scratching scene cites Herbie Hancock's Rockit and specificially the performance at the 1985 Grammy's as the moment that inspired them all.I know the feeling, I had Rockit on a 45 and wrecked a needle on my family record player trying to scratch.
