Nikon D2X FRENZY!!

I don't know if you've been following the anticipated arrival of the
Nikon D2x. This was the $6000 camera I and just about any other nikon
shooter is hot for. I fondled one for an hour at Macworld, just cuz I
could... I try not to be too much a gearhead but damn this was the
camera we Nikon Pros were waiting for... soild build, 12MP, all the
bells and whistles.

Nikon does their marketing differently than Canon, the sheer lack of
any images or reviews drove everyone over the edge with speculation. I
mean the myths rumors and such, it had more buzz than anything Apple
has had. Forums of all kinds were rampant over the last few months.The
NDA's came off today, the same day the product shipped worldwide. For
better or for worse it worked, it got everyone breathing heavy with
anticipation,
Needless to say checking DPreview every chance I get today has been
interesting.

We had bets on who would get theirs first,... Fred won today and picked
his up at Don's. I haven't heard from Henry's yet.
